March 12:  In light of the Kony 2012 controversy, The F Word speaks with Julie Okot Bitek about the campaign staged by Invisible Children. Julie is a writer who lives in Vancouver, she was born in Kenya and raised in Uganda.

March 19:  Abortion and reproductive rights.

Disconcertingly, the debate around women’s access to abortion continues. The F Word explores current events and discourse surrounding women’s reproductive rights in an interview with Barbara Hestrin, president-elect of Options for Sexual Health BC. We also speak with a local abortion counsellor about the realities of working in this field.
March 26:  Familial sexual abuse.

Has sexual abuse in families fallen off the radar? It seems that since the commonality of sexual abuse was brought to society’s attention by feminists in the 70s and 80s, it has been fading out of the public consciousness and back into the shadows. Ariana and Nicole explore familial sexual abuse from a current perspective.
